LIFE ONBOARD
Where rehearsals, performances and life at sea become one

WHAT LIFE ONBOARD MEANS FOR US
More Than a Job at Sea
Life onboard is a unique mix of discipline and freedom.
We rehearse, perform, teach, travel, and live together — all while the ocean is constantly moving beneath us.
It’s intense, beautiful, challenging, and unforgettable.

FROM REHEARSAL ROOMS TO STAGE

Every performance begins long before the lights turn on.
Rehearsals, teamwork and discipline transform into just a few magical minutes on stage.
That contrast is what makes it unforgettable.
LIFE BEHIND THE SCENES

Life onboard isn’t just rehearsals and performances.
It’s birthdays in narrow corridors, shared cabins, crew dinners, long talks after shows and friendships built across cultures.
Behind the stage lights, we build a second home at sea.
Life Onboard – Frequently Asked Questions
How many hours do we rehearse onboard?
Our rehearsal schedule depends on the contract and upcoming productions. During show creation periods, we can rehearse daily for several hours.
Once the shows are running, rehearsals are lighter and focus on maintenance, spacing, and technical adjustments.
Do we have free time onboard?
Yes — especially on port days. Whenever our schedule allows it, we explore destinations before returning to the ship for rehearsals or performances. Cruise life is structured, but it also gives us beautiful moments of freedom.
Can we explore destinations as crew?
Absolutely. As long as we are not scheduled for duties or rehearsals, we are free to go ashore. Exploring new cities, beaches, and cultures is one of the biggest blessings of our job.
How long are our contracts?
Our contracts vary depending on the cruise line and production company. Most of them range between 6 to 8 months, but special itineraries — like world cruises — can be different. Every contract brings a new rhythm and experience.
Is it difficult for us to live at sea?
Living at sea is unique and sometimes challenging. We are away from family, space is limited, and the schedule can be intense. But it is also inspiring, adventurous, and incredibly rewarding.
What is a typical show day for us?
Show days are intense and exciting. We start with technical rehearsals, costume preparation and makeup. Once the curtain rises, everything comes together for a few magical minutes on stage.
Where do we live onboard?
We live in crew cabins in dedicated crew areas of the ship. It’s compact, but over time it becomes home — a floating home we share with an international community.
What do we love most about life onboard?
The combination of performing, traveling, and sharing this journey together. Few professions allow you to dance on stage at night and wake up in a new country the next morning.
