Our Favorite Cruise Destinations So Far

There’s something magical about waking up in a new destination.

One day, you’re surrounded by mountains and colorful houses. The next, you step onto a white sandy beach with nothing but turquoise water in front of you.

This is the beauty of life at sea.

Travel is one of the main reasons we chose this life — and over time, certain places stayed with us more than others.

Not just for how they looked, but for how they made us feel.

Here are some of our favorite cruise destinations so far.

Caribbean — Our Forever Favorite

The Caribbean is exactly what you imagine… and even more.

Crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and that feeling of complete freedom the moment you step off the ship.

On top of that, this is our favorite destination because the beaches here make you feel like time stops.

Everything feels so simple. No one is rushing anywhere, and the people are humble, warm, and relaxed.

Yes, maybe these islands are not as developed as French Polynesia, Europe, or the USA, but they have something else — something special.

They have peace, kindness, and a way of making you feel welcome, always saying with a big smile: “As Bob Marley said, don’t worry, be happy.”

Some of our favorite moments here were the simplest ones — swimming in warm water, walking barefoot on the beach, and enjoying the sun without thinking about anything else.

It’s the kind of place where time slows down.

And honestly… it’s the one place we would return to again and again.

Every island feels like a dream, and it will probably always remain our number one favorite.

French Polynesia — A Dream Beyond Expectations

If the Caribbean feels like paradise, French Polynesia feels like something even more unreal.

The shades of blue in the water don’t even look real. The beaches are wild, untouched, and incredibly peaceful.

It’s quieter, more intimate, and deeply connected to nature.

There’s a different kind of energy here — slower, calmer, almost spiritual.

It’s not just a destination, it’s a feeling you carry with you long after you leave.

Rio de Janeiro — Energy, Color and Life

Rio is pure energy.

From the moment you arrive, everything feels alive — the music, the people, the views.

One of the things that made this destination even more special for us was the fact that we had an overnight stay. Usually, we are only in a port for a few hours, but this time we had the chance to experience the city more deeply.

Rio has everything — breathtaking views, vibrant city life, beautiful beaches, mountains, and so much greenery all around.

And seeing Christ the Redeemer watching over the city is simply unforgettable.

Standing in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World felt almost unreal — like one of those moments you’ve seen so many times in pictures, but can’t quite believe you’re actually experiencing yourself.

The journey to get there wasn’t easy. It was a hot day, and we waited in a long queue, slowly making our way up.

But the moment we arrived, everything was worth it.

There’s something incredibly powerful about standing there, so close, looking up at such an iconic symbol.

And the view from the top… absolutely breathtaking.

The entire city unfolds beneath you — the beaches, the mountains, the ocean — all in one frame.

It’s the kind of moment that stays with you forever.

After visiting Christ the Redeemer, we made our way to Ipanema Beach.

We arrived just in time to slow down, take in the sun, and simply enjoy the moment.

As the afternoon passed, the light became softer, warmer — and we stayed long enough to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets.

The view was unreal. The mountains rising straight from the sea, the colors of the sky reflecting on the water… everything felt perfectly balanced.

The beach was full of life — happy people everywhere, music playing from every towel, laughter, movement, energy.

There was something so effortless about it all.

In that moment, it truly felt like life was a celebration — something to enjoy, not to rush.

Everyone knows Rio has a reputation for being dangerous.

But to be honest, it didn’t feel that way.

Once you step into this beautiful city, you almost forget everything you thought you knew about it.

Of course, like anywhere in the world, there are areas to avoid, especially at night or in certain neighborhoods — but that didn’t take away from our experience.

Rio surprised us in the best way.

It became one of our favorite big cities, and it’s definitely a place we would love to return to.

Ushuaia — The End of the World

Ushuaia is not just a destination — it’s an experience.

Being so close to Antarctica, everything feels raw, powerful, and untouched.

The landscapes are dramatic, the air is crisp, and the wildlife makes it even more special.

Seeing sea lions and penguins in their natural habitat is something we will never forget.

It’s one of those places that truly humbles you.

Mediterranean Gems — Culture and History

The Mediterranean is a completely different story.

Why?

Because, in our opinion, it has everything — beautiful beaches, rich history, incredible culture, and unforgettable cuisine.

Every destination feels unique, and at the same time, deeply connected to centuries of stories.

What we love most is that it’s never just about one thing. You can spend the day at the beach, then walk through historic streets, and finish with amazing local food.

Sometimes, it’s actually hard to choose what to do and where to go — there’s always so much to explore.

One of the best parts of working on cruise ships in the Mediterranean is that ships often stay here for an entire season.

And thanks to that, we have the chance to return to the same places multiple times.

Over time, those destinations start to feel familiar.

Almost like we become a small part of them.

More Than Destinations

What makes these places special is not just the location itself.

It’s the memories we create there.

The moments between rehearsals, the walks after long days, the conversations, the sunsets… all of it becomes part of the journey.

And the most beautiful part?
